Walks

All walks start at the East entrance to the wood, on Creighton Avenue, opposite Fortismere School (N10 1NT). Most last up to 2 hours. 

Walks are free, though a donation of £3 per person is appreciated. It helps to book in advance as this allows us gauge numbers and to contact you if there are any changes to the programme.

Geology walk

Saturday 17 November, 10:30amm

Fossils found in Coldfall Wood show the area was once covered by ice. Explore the area in and around the wood to find out about the geological history and the importance of Coldfall in understanding this.

Led by Diana Clements, local geologist and a recognised expert in London’s geology.

Donation of £3 per person appreciated.

Tree dressing day

Sunday 2 December, 2:00pm

Join in our celebration of trees. Help us decorate a tree. Make a lantern, dream catcher, natural bird feeder or more. Come for the story telling; join in a percussion session around the trees.

Led by Ivana Grant (Fun in the Forest), local forest school leader.

Donation of £3 per person appreciated.

Practical conservation work

Thursday 29 November, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Join us at this beautiful ancient hornbeam/oak woodland. We’ll be maintaining the coppices and paths.
